Another week goes by and yet another government announcement arrives which we have to interpret, comply with and implement. Provisional opening hours for November remain as Thursday to Sunday, 3pm to 8pm. Elson continues to have the remit to remain open or close early dependant on attendance and weather conditions.
We have purchased another fire cage which will be delivered this Friday afternoon. The need for fuel therefore increases and it is a pleasure to announce that one of our overseas-based members, Gordon Inkson, has agreed to convert his crowdfunding contribution of £200 to purchase another load of logs. Well done Gordon, much appreciated!
Remaining on this subject we have had a modest amount of £10 fuel donations and donations of surplus flammable material from several members. Please support one or both of these initiatives as it is patently obvious that we are going to be in need of a lot of fuel over the coming months. Here are the Club Centre bank details should you wish to support our fuel donation appeal:

We have made some progress in the essential reinstatement work in the basement with the asbestos removal contractor having started work last Monday. The new central heating system has been designed and costed and it is hoped that this work can proceed soon after the completion of the asbestos removal. The lighting in the main lounge and dining room has been overhauled and LED bulbs fitted. All our customers will instantly recognise the huge improvement in the brightness of these two areas
We have some bar specials to entice you to the Club during November or until stocks last including Belhaven Best, a new addition to our draught beer range:
Please continue to support the Club Centre in any way that you can.
